The Anderson Learning Hub
Specialist Literacy & Learning Support for Children Who Learn Differently
The Anderson learning Hub is a small, specialist learning space designed for children and young people who need a more personalised, supportive approach to learning.
Launching as a pilot in February 2026, the Hub offers targeted literacy support for learners who struggle in mainstream settings - particularly those with dyslexia, additional support needs, or gaps in foundational literacy skills.
We focus on confidence first, clarity always, and progress that actually sticks.
Who the Anderson Learning Hub Is For
The Hub is designed for children and young people who:
-
Are struggling with reading, spelling, or writing
-
Have dyslexia or suspected dyslexia
-
Find school learning overwhelming or inaccessible
-
Need learning broken down into clear, structured steps
-
Have lost confidence in themselves as learners
-
Benefit from small groups and specialist teaching
We work with learners across upper primary and early secondary, with sessions carefully patched to individual needs.
What Makes the Anderson Learning Hub Different?
Many children don't struggle because they can't learn - they struggle because the way learning is delivered doesn't fit how their brain works.
At the Anderson Learning Hub, we offer:
-
Small-Group Specialist Teaching: Groups are intentionally small so that every learner is seen, supported, and understood.
-
Structured Literacy Approaches: Teaching is explicit, systematic, and cumulative, supporting learners to build secure foundations in phonics, reading, spelling, and word understanding.
-
Neurodiversity-Affirming Practice: We recognise that learning differences are not deficits. Teaching is adapted to suit the learner - not the other way around.
-
Calm, Predictable Learning Environment: No rushing, no pressure, and no shame. Learners know what to expect and feel safe to make mistakes.
-
Focus on Confidence as Well as Skills: Progress isn't just about test scores - it's about helping learners believe "I can do this."
Our Literacy Support Approach
Literacy support at the Hub is grounded in evidence-informed structure literacy principles, with a strong focus on:
-
Phonics and the alphabetic code
-
Reading accuracy and fluency
-
Spelling and word structure
-
Developing automaticity and confidence
-
Gradual progression at a pace that suits the learner
Teaching sessions are short, focused, and carefully structured, with opportunities for supported practice and independent application.
This approach is particularly effective for learners with dyslexia and other literacy-based difficulties.
Pilot Launch - February 2026
The Anderson Learning Hub will open as a pilot provision in February 2026.
This pilot phase allows us to:
-
Keep groups small
-
Refine our delivery
-
Gather meaningful progress data
-
Ensure the Hub meets the real needs of learners and families
Places during the pilot will be limited.
